The University Centre in Svalbard (UNIS) is the best institution of higher education located at Longyearbyen, Svalbard & Jan Mayen. UNIS provides the best educational courses based on research in Arctic study at the university level. The Ministry of Education and Research runs the institute and board of directors appointed from the University of Oslo, NTNU and Tromso.
